Red River Parish Schools… New Look… New Opportunities…New Directions for students and the community!

In our parish, we are creating a central hub of exciting opportunities and expanding directions for all students. Just look around. We have been in a dynamic building expansion for more than two years. By the end of the 2022 school year, we will have created new sporting facilities for the entire parish to be proud to call their own. We will have a state-of-the-art vocational facility that will house the same opportunities as any of the surrounding technical colleges. We will have a creative arts/music facility to expand our possibilities for students and the community. We will also have at least one outdoor classroom completed on the Jr. High/High School complex.

Not only have the facilities seen a tremendous change, but our calendar and our opportunities to address the needs of all of our students have been transformed. No longer will we have to wait for summer school or after school to offer opportunities to address lost/unfinished learning. Now we can offer immediate help to students during intersession times. These intersessions will also allow students to enjoy enriching activities such as drama, art, sports, music, vocational internships, and stem activities.

Our directions for students and the community are also evolving. Students in High School now have the opportunity to finish school with an expanded transcript of dual enrollment courses, vocational certifications, and job opportunities. Jr High students will begin opportunities for foreign language, art and music enrichment, and introduction to vocational opportunities. Our elementary students will have Accelerated Reader competitions, foreign language enrichment, art and music, and they will have the most up-to-date technology for individual use. In the midst of all of this change, we also created a one-of-a-kind academic alternative school that accelerates learning for students who have traditionally struggled in school. We are a shining star for the entire state to follow when creating alternative programs.

Pride in Red River Parish Schools starts here at home. We have created a look, direction, and opportunities for our entire parish to be proud. Come take a look. Join your child’s PTO. Volunteer in our schools. Attend a sporting event. Embrace the change. All of this is for our community and our most important resources; our children.
